This striking cork backed coaster features a beautiful Mahoe and Titoki Berries design on a black background by NZ artist Tanya Wolfcamp. Mahoe is a small tree endemic to New Zealand with whitish bark - hence it's name Whiteywood, serated edged leaves and small yellowish flowers which grow straight from naked twigs and have a pleasant fragrance.The Mahoe also produces berries which are a vibrant violet colour whien ripe. The Titoki tree is popular in New Zealand gardens and has glossy foliage and a wide canopy. It produces small red berries which are attractive to the Kereru (wood pidgeon) and other native birds. Its leaves and oil are and natural insect repellant.
